FISHING REPORT PSJ 7-21-17
The bite is picking up as the brackish water from the daily rains continues to push out of the bay. Flounder are still producing good numbers on the bottom with live bull minnows. Reports of trout and reds are closer to the state park, try to use bright top water lures or glittery soft baits for best results.
Shoreline shark fishing is still hot, stop by and grab some bonita!
Lots of activity going on around the area. Saturday, July 22 is the famous Bayou Bash. Registration begins today and fishing begins at first light tomorrow. Categories include speckled trout, redfish, flounder, pompano, Spanish mackerel, and mangrove snapper. Stop by the store or Port St Joe marina for more details. Don’t forget to grab your t-shirt!
Next Tuesday, July 25th starts scallop season in the St Joe Bay. We are stocked and ready with mask, snorkels, bags, flags, and nets…..
